Frequently asked questions
Q. How often can I use NZ Pure Health PURE STEM CELL Moisturiser?
A. You can use it morning and night, or as required, continued use is recommended for the best results.
Q. What is NZ Pure Health PURE STEM CELL Ovine Placenta Extract?
A. PURE STEM CELL Ovine Placenta Extract is made from purified stem cells harvested from New Zealand Sheep. Using the latest technology in stem cell science, our PURE STEM CELL Moisturiser is a rich skin food that promotes cellular renewal, reduces redness, and hydrates the skin.
Q. What is Hyaluronic Acid?
A. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally present in the human body. It is found in the highest concentrations in fluids in the eyes and joints. Hyaluronic acid works by acting as a cushion and lubricant in the joints and other tissues. In the skin, it plumps out the tissues and ensures that the cells are hydrated.
Q. Why are PURE STEM CELL Ovine Placenta Extract and Hyaluronic Acid good for skin?
A. Skin is made up of many proteins but especially collagen and elastin. Collagen is a structural protein that makes up the bulk of mammalian tissue. The skin uses amino acids, from proteins, to repair the damage, replace skin cells, and make collagen tissue. Collagen is necessary for the appearance and integrity of skin, while elastin is critical to the flexibility and resilience of all tissue in the body.
Proteins can only function properly in a hydrated environment. Glycosaminoglycans provide the necessary moisture levels for proteins to function properly. Hyaluronic acid is one such glycosaminoglycan; it is made up of alternating units of N-acetylglucosamine and glucuronic acid. In solution, hyaluronic acid lubricates cells and is highly viscoelastic, for this reason it is widely used in moisturisers.
